OllyDog: For Paws, People and the Planet

OllyDog: For Paws, People and the Planet

Founded in 2005 by a group of Sierra Design experts who wanted to develop better dog gear for outdoor enthusiasts, OllyDog was born under three founding principles: durability, functionality and smart design.

Thirteen years later, in 2018, OllyDog was acquired by Sherpani, an industry leader in recycled materials that designs better travel bags for women. The Sherpani owners, Ed and Maria Ruzic, wanted to honor the three founding principles of OllyDog, as well as add a fourth to their mix: sustainability. Their new mission? To be the first pet brand to produce their line of high-quality dog gear entirely from recycled materials.

OllyDog is made up of everyday people who believe we all have a role to play in protecting the great outdoors. OllyDog products are made to empower both people and their pooches to explore the deep wilderness, from the highest mountain summits to the salty waters of the sea. OllyDog knows that the more people connect with the natural world, the deeper our collective respect for the planet becomes.

OllyDog’s sustainable manufacturing process has given a second life to single-use plastics by repurposing plastic bottles that otherwise end up in landfills and waterways. These bottles are broken down into flakes, spun into yarn, and treated with non-toxic dye to create the bold colors used in OllyDog designs. OllyDog has also saved countless tons of post-consumer nylon from a similar fate, incorporating the nylon webbing into their line of unique collars and leashes.

Whether you and your four-legged friend are avid campers, hikers, birdwatchers or backpackers, OllyDog products are here to accompany the two of you on every adventure. OllyDog is for dogs who love their people, and for people who love their planet.
